Yay! Singapore got its 1st medal in the Olympics after 48 years ~ a Silver medal for the ladies table tennis team!
of the entire Olympics game, this is the only game i've watched knowing that S'pore already would be getting the silver medal. in this game, i witness how the opponents being the stronger ones had played their best even though they could have won with lesser effort. The game showed me what sportmanship is about - by putting in the best effort regardless if it had been an easy win.
on the other hand, i've not seen how the singapore team had played before this, but was there a hint of complacency knowing already that they have afterall won the only medal for Singapore?
now, if only i can put in that same fighting spirit in me rather than been complacent with life.
